kazuyette
Ho hai folks ! I love Lego and it seems that we have a few collectors on Neowin ( Minifig comes to mind ), so why not share your passion ? I am the owner of these sets : http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10198&cn=416&d=322 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=8547&cn=17 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Page=2&Set=8295-1 If you ask nicely enough I can try to put on a full assembling review with lots of pictures or try to do something in stop motion. SimplySchizo
I loved lego gowing up. i never liked any of the sets though. I preferred the basic blocks and just went where my imagination took me. robots, spaceships, cars... endless.
chicken-royal
Love Lego, though I very rarely play with it now; only when I get the odd Lego car set as a joke present for birthdays/Christmas. ;) When we cleared out our loft a while back I found the massive box with all the Lego in. :D http://www.twitpic.com/gqgsj
Rudy
Legos are awesome :) I have so many castle sets (old ones from about 15 years ago). I still have them in plastic bins waiting for my kids to be able to play with them :D
Matrix XII
Oh man I used to play Lego sooo much! I haven't pulled it out of the closet in probably 6 or 7 years though.. Maybe I should! It's good to see that other people play it, sometimes I feel I'm too old to play with Lego

SyntaxError
I used to have several dozen sets, large and small. Amounted to several thousand pieces all in a large box. Almost all of it was space ships, castles and vehicles. Gave it all away to a retarded guy about 20 years ago. I almost wish I was a kid again just to play with some of the new sets and parts, with all the electronics and such. Didn't have that stuff when I was a kid. I had a little motor unit but that was it.
lt8480
Technic (and Mindstorms) collector here for the past 20 years, (keeping boxes and instruction/packaging in mint condition) 3 of my favourite technic sets, maybe have 20 or so in total: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=8480_1&v=z http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=8448_1&v=z http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=8455_1&v=z Also I have some 30+ lego sets that were "mixed up" and are mostly ~15 years in age, in the process of rebuilding them, they include some notable sets such as... http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=6285_1&v=z Sadly most of these Lego instructions were unloved, but at least they are complete! Very time consuming sorting out this many sets, and finiding the odd pieces that are missing.

I highly recommend it to your son ;) I never tought that this set could be so long and interesting to build and with the 2 B-models, I'm gonna play with it for some times :)

TruckWEB
It's just sad that you can't find "basic" set of Lego now. It's all based on theme (space, city, creator, ...). I remember when I was younger and playing with Lego, you could build almost anything, depending on how many pieces you had. Too bad I did not keep them. Coldgunner
Many happy memories playing with lego. My favourite set being the "yellow" train. Although quite disturbingly for a 10 year old I demolished it and built a missile train...
