SaltLife Posted February 9, 2010 Author Share Posted February 9, 2010 Well, here is what can be done for oversized scanned documents: Using the built-in application "Preview" you can apply "Quartz Filter" to a document when you re-save it. By converting the image to black and white you remove a majority of the size. Guess I never should have installed Adobe Reader...?? This essentially is the same functionality that pdftk provides. However, one advantage over pdftk is that it always you to create custom bash scripts and thus creates limitless opportunities for deployment. Next step to understand darwin-ports!
