yep, unless they are banned this will continue to happen, even if there might not be a usb port to save the pictures to they can still use a camera phone to take a photo of the body scan. Perverts can photo anyone they want to have the body scan and paedophiles can take photos of children. Lots of celebrities are bound to have their photos leaked online.

You'll notice that BBC, Channel4 and ITV don't have this news story on their websites! UK govt don't let incriminating things be published by the media that much. I bet they don't include the bit on jonathan ross saying his naked body scan has leaked.

I think our culture is too modest.

I'm not really sure where the problem is exactly. I think that celebrity males have the biggest concern here, as relative penis sizes leak to the Internet.

(Generalization alert) Female celebrities already wear skimpy **** everytime the camera is on them. The latest trend in female celebrity attention seeking seem to be to see how they can flash their cooch to the paparazzi (which IMO, when Brittney Spears does this it is 100% intentional). The next big thing will be to see who can flash their a-hole and make it look like an accident.

Anyway, what do these images of women show us that we can't already imagine for ourselves... nipple to boob size ratios?

I feel sorry for the people who have to operate these, as I'm sure the vast majority of the people walking through them are in the "DO NOT WANT TO SEE NAKED, EVER, EVER" category.

I wont be flying anywhere, ever, i have nothing to hide but i dont appreciate having to privacy infringed upon just so i can get on a plane, i dont think the airport personnel would take too kindly to me forcing them to go through the scanner so i can have a look at them, i would probably get escorted into a small room somewhere and interrogated.

It's too modest as our cultures is too structured and hyper regulated. Ok maybe not as bad as it was during the Salem Witch trials, but we have Seneca Falls, MLK and Stonewall to thank for breaking some of those cultural ceilings. Concepts of masculinity and femininity are very much a driving wedge in many cultures. Terms such as "not measuring up" and "the bigger man" are rather poignant, and are generally used in many circumstances despite being based on one idea: male endowment. If there ever was a taboo subject that would be it.

I'm wondering if the machine operators can sue under the cruel and unusual punishment clause in the Constitution. I'd hate that job.
