Mac_Gyver
Hi @ll, 1 week ago I came back from vacation. Then my brother turned his pc on (he has 2 ethernet cards, 1 for internet and 1 for network) and the ethernet card for internet didnt worked. Then we tried the card in my pc. didnt worked too. now I bought 2 new D-Link DFE-530TX card's . I gave my old one (D-Link DFE-528) to my brother. Now I took 1 D-Link DFE-530TX into my pc, installed the drivers and everything worked. But now the problem: We use internet connection sharing and if i try to download something i get only 7 Kb/sec (http + ftp) ... normally I could get 90 kb/sec . I have the same problem if I try to download something from my brothers network ftp (before i had 1 mb/sec) ... hope you can help me  . Thanx A1ph4z

Mac_Gyver
Hmm ... but the problem was not before we bought new ethernet cards ... I have the problem also when I'm direct on internet ... normally it looks like this: ME <-> Switch <-> Brother <-> Internet
John Veteran Posted June 23, 2003 Veteran Share Posted June 23, 2003 this started after you bought the new NICs? uninstall them and reinstall them in a different PCI slot, then try getting the newest drivers for them and make sure they're WHQL drivers; i've had probs before if the drivers weren't WHQL drivers. kjordan2001
Are you limited on IPs or something? Why not just get a hub or a router so you don't have to go though his computer?

Muffzilla
I was once able to share a cable connection by plugging both computers into a switch, and plugging the cable modem into the switch as well. Try that. Can't hurt.
