sojumk
So i just replaced my 24" imac to the low end version of the 27" imac and i've noticed this thing gets super hot! top corners and behind the screen compared to my 24" one. Is this normal? Otherwise i'm loving it but i think i need time to get use to the widescreen
AgentGray
Had this issue myself... didn't turn out to be anything really worth noticing (i have not had the screen issues at all, or any of the other problems that plauged the 27") ... It's more or less calmed down now except for hard use.... Noticed it got bad when i was really pushing the drives, or the video card... so I'm guessing it's just the buildup of heat because the airflow of the case being radiated from the case itself. Rudy
The heat is to be expected, to be honest my 46" TV feels hotter on the top corners (and my tv doesnt have a built in computer)
Elliott
I have the Core i5 version. It does get hot around the upper corners (especially if I'm playing a game or something), but it is normal. That's how the ventilation is supposed to work (the vent is up in the top back). Like Rudy said, other appliances like my TV get hotter than this. :p
