Problem with IE

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, wasnt too sure :(

Anyway my problem is that up until recently I could just type in a url, eg liverpool.com and it would take me directly to the site, however now, whenever I enter liverpool.com or anyother shortform URL for that matter (neowin.net etc etc) IE pasues for a second and then the following appears in the address bar of IE ..

Its weird, what can be causing it and how can I stop it? As I say all was fine till a few days ago, I have virus checked and found nothing, have ran AdAware which also found nothing, other than a few dataminer cookies (which I deleted).

Its just weird in the fact that it seems to be adding an extra forward slash to the http part, and also adding a space ?%20 to the beginning of the url.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

If you can't fix it, try to go around it instead. See if using MyIE helps - http://myie2.yeah.net

It's a browser shell that uses the IE engine to render webpages + there's lots of other features (check the website to find out more).
