AltecXP
Hi, I'm looking for a good free, or very cheap, online storage. What attributes I'm looking for in it are: least 100MB, FTP connection(or a good plug-in for both WIndows and OS X) Any suggestions? I'm right now using iDisk, but I plan to let my subscription laps as I no longer use the Mobile Me email.
Hedon
I have never used, but I hear very good things about Carbonite. Not free though (but has a free trial). It's just under $5 a month. http://www.carbonite.com/ Edit: It's unlimited backup. 100MB is all you need? Skydrive or Google's docs can offer that for free. Skydrive offers a 3rd party solution for FTP, not sure about the Google docs free storage though.
Lewism
I recommend Dropbox. 2 GB for free. Plugin for Windows, Mac, Linux and iPhone. https://www.dropbox.com/
Cupcakes
I use Dropbox's $9.99/mo plan with 50GB. I really only use this for items I want synced between several computers since I'm out and about a lot. Don't want to lug around another external HD (even my little one.) You'd be fine with their free plan though since it offers 2GB. There is also an iPhone app, if you use an iPhone. PixilEyes 1 Share
AltecXP
I looked at Dropbox, but there seems to be no way to make a folder publicly available, only to a few select people. Otherwise it looks perfect.

cooky560 Veteran Posted February 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 13, 2010 I sell hosting with FTP access for less than ?5 so you can just not put an index.html in the folder and people can see what they like :p

StudioFortress
I used to use GMail Drive and though it was excellent. It doesn't allow FTP, but instead is a shell extension that makes your GMail account look like a network folder from My Computer. Behind the scenes it e-mails the files to you GMail account and stores them there as attachments.
Xenon
Try Microsoft Skydrive. 25 gig for free and you can set public folders. Might also want to look into Live Mesh Also.
Grunt
I use Cubby (by LogMeIn) You can add any folder on your computer to be listed in Cubby, you are not limited to a single folder where you end up duplicating data. And you can share specific files.
