ElectricDemon
Can anyone recommend a Wireless ADSL router? (ADSL modem needs to be integrated with the router) I'm looking for a router which is easy to set up/configure, but also allows access to the advanced settings either by telnet, or web interface, or both. I need the router to be Wireless-enabled out of the box, without needing to pay out for a WI-FI card to add to it. So far, i'm looking at routers from Netgear, Actiontec, Linksys, D-Link. I've heard mixed reviews for routers from different manufacturers, but I need some recommendations based on general user's day-to-day experiences with the equipment. Any help would be appreciated, thankyou in advance
Bob Carrick
http://www.nexland.com/products/product.cfm?id=24 has a slot for a wireless card which you can purchase at the same time. I've tested one here: http://www.carricksolutions.com/cgi-bin/ik...t=ST;f=16;t=
ElectricDemon
nice review, but the comment at the bottom by another user makes it seem a bit down, also, i'm based in the UK, and cant find a retailer for it.

ElectricDemon
netgear....u mean the Netgear DG824M Wireless ADSL? apparently netgear routers have crap firmware, and crash when transferring large files over the connection, and also UPNP isnt up to scratch (I use MSN Messenger for basically everything, even communicating with university lecturers, they use webcams and file transfers to set coursework information). Guess that one's not for me. :(
ElectricDemon
hmm.... I've been looking at the D-Link 'DSL-604+' router, but I have no way of telling if it's got an ADSL modem built in, it just says 'ADSL port', but my other router said that and I still needed an ADSL modem to connect to it.. does anyone know if this one has the modem built in?? if it does, I'm gonna either buy that, or check out the netgear one to see if they fixed the crashing bug in the firmware
