George P Global Moderator Posted February 14, 2010 Global Moderator Share Posted February 14, 2010 If you want something different and think the bad points of FF13 are too much, you might as well give RoF a go on March 16th in NA. Source No EU date though, so I'll have to wait again it seems.

Massiveterra
I apologize in advance if this sounds condescending...but I've read a lot about the combat system for this game and it sounds like it's one of the most complicated combat systems out there. My question is... if the combat is focused around shooting, why can't you just "shoot?"
Emn1ty
I actually REALLY enjoyed the combat system playing the japanese demo. If I could learn to utilize it in a different language I'm sure it couldn't be that complicated.
George P Global Moderator Posted March 19, 2010 Author Global Moderator Share Posted March 19, 2010 I don't think the battle system is complicated, it looks at that at first because it's also in Japanese so you can't really understand it well. It's a nice mix of turnbased and then real-time shooting with a good chunk of stratogy. You have to be careful where you run and make sure you hit the target on time or they'll shoot back. I'd like a review for this at some point to get a better idea, but I'm interested enough that I'll be getting it later on.
