Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase has said in an interview he would be interested in a ?more complete form of Final Fantasy VII.?

Yep, it could only be the remake.

Speaking to GT, he said:

?I?m really interested to see this more complete form of Final Fantasy VII portrayed more realistically with the voice and animation and all the suttle expressions there.

?I?d be interested to see that and to make that, it would be a great experience. I don?t get tired of people asking that question, so I?ll continue to answer my thoughts as long as people keep asking.?

That?s despite comments made a while back by him and FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama, saying the game?s ?style? was too hard to translate from the old PS1 days.

Comments from FF Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura weren?t too promising either, saying there wouldn?t be a remake anytime soon.

Get the video interview below. Kitase?s comments come near the end.

FFXIII is out on March 9.

I'd be totally for this idea, but only IF they just do a direct remake with improved graphics/sound. I don't want new or drastically changed stuff.

+1. Part of me would love to see a remake, and part of me is worried that they'll completely mess it up. The biggest thing is keeping the characters, story, and music intact. I'd be all for improved graphics, remade maps/areas, different or additional side quests, and a new battle system as long as they worked materia into it of course.

Then again...maybe all I really want is a new FF game that's finally equals or trumps how good VII was.
