Is there a simple way to flip an image dragged into Numbers?

Recommended Posts

The topic title pretty much says it all... I've dragged a bunch of images (well actually, the images are technically PDF documents) into various cells in Numbers '09. Some of the images I'd like to flip horizontally. Is this something I can do in Numbers, because I can't find the option anywhere? Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to make some new files and use those.

Interesting, I found Arrange -> Flip Horizontally, but it's grayed out. I thought maybe it's because I was working with PDF documents, but the exact same documents can be flipped just fine when they're in a Pages '09 document. Is it because they're within cells?

Not sure about the menu options being disabled mate, as I am technically a Mac noob, but why don't you just flip the image in Pages then, or even in Preview for that matter, and just copy and paste the flipped version into Numbers?

Yeah, I'll just have to end up doing that, it's just more work than I feel should be required.

Oh well, it's not a big deal. Thanks for the help.

Objects inside of cells can't be rotated or flipped.

When you drag your PDF inside the sheet, don't drag it inside of a cell but rather on some white space in the sheet. Then just move it around wherever you want and you're free to mess around with it.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the tip.
