CrossCheck
now i never bought MW2 and don't . but let me ask you this. what mainstream online shooter doesn't have mods/hacks/script kiddies. Cheating is and always will be rampant in PC online gaming. every time a new game comes out for the pc i expect these hacks to become prevelant. thats also why i don't shell out the $$$ when a game first comes out. now bad company 2 will be an exception even though i know there will be cheating. Slammers
I'm so sick of hearing about this game. If you don't like it or the developers, don't buy it again, if you did buy well **** it's only 100-130 bux and theres allot of play in the single player and special ops. People pay for full price games with only single player and don't complain. Hopefully they never release another game ever again so we don't have to hear people whining. (I played the single player on PC and enjoyed it, although I definately wouldn't buy it and the airport level i though was unnecessary.
splur
Why wasn't punkbuster applied to this game? I mean, it was applied to all the other CODs... and literally any other non-valve produced fps.
Titoist
Believe it or not, these hacks are already out on the XBox 360. Just this past week I have come across people running through walls, jumping high up and unlimited ammo. The OP's quote already stated that its out on consoles and the video also shows it. splur
Also, I've never seen this on the PS3. Just lucky? Or has it not hit the PS3 yet?
Sikh
Also, I've never seen this on the PS3. Just lucky? Or has it not hit the PS3 yet? In due time. The hacks hit all platform. You guys got the 10th Prestige Hack when the game first came out before the 360 got it. Then when the care package was introduced early ofr the first time ps3 didnt have it till alittle later on. It keeps jumping back and fourth because most hackers are putting there effort to the highest user base, which is 360. PC can get hacked by a 2 year old. Theres NO protection at all. Not even VAC. x-byte
With the amount of teens playing this game this isn't surprising. They want to win at any cost. Talk about losers. Glad I only get this game for the campaign and noting else. I rather play Bad Company 2 when it arrives. The demo was awesome! I don't understand how people can hack the console version - do they use a pirated, modified game? Modchip probably.
Motoko.
You know, I was skeptical of Treyarch too at first, but damn, their Russian campaign in World at War, along with the Nazi Zombies, has surpassed anything IW has done in a very long time. Right? From my experience at least I had way more fun with W@W then I ever did with MW. It's kind of hilarious of Infinity trying to milk the franchise already on their sequel for MW, just goes to show how "activision" in general cares about the quality of its franchises. what
And yet, everyone will still continue to play it, and it will be top of the Live rankings next week.
Livin in a box
I think that everyone should start hacking it. Then it would be more even and heck, it'd make it a bit more fun with everyone hacking.
Ridlas
How the hell do you modify a game on a console... I still don't see how this is going to be possible on the consoles. PC's sure, but expect your ass to be banned very soon.

No. It just has basic steam/VAC protection, lots of VAC proof hacks exist, or are VAC proof for a certain amount of time. With no dedicated servers admins can't even ban/forward cheaters to IW with video evidence, enjoy being unable to do squat. On the console, same issue as COD4 I think, modified save files, scandalous that problem was in COD4, and they go and release MW2 with the same issues.... $$. From looking through the videos, some of the glitches, do not need modified files, just a series of actions, button presses etc. Others will of course be modified files. As soon as we see a hacker, we report the player to steam and they'll do the rest. I've done it lots of times before, and have gotten results. I don't know how that works for you console folks... VAC proof hacks. Yes they do exist, how do you think people are still cheating in Counterstrike/TF2 and every other Valve game? Difference is with those games if you are on a mainstream dedicated server like Wireplay or something, you can get an admin in in no time and ban the persons ass at least from the servers you play on. Enjoy your PC matchmaking of pot luck every time

Hedon
Don't bother me none. I still like the game online, and I never run into these people in my play time. I hope they do address the issues though.
carmatic
And the turnaround on that is? Also unless Valve can prove something, no banning. which is why console commands come in handy... that is, a different type of console, one which usually comes down from the top of the screen when you press Tab or something see, proper PC first person shooters have a demo-recording capability.... also, the server would have logged every single bit of data coming from a cheater, this is something you dont get on consoles... that is, the consoles which you dont have to know anything about PC gaming to play on.... There is no console on the PC version IIRC. It's basically a 1:1 copy of the console versions.
