Boot Camp partition error when shutting down

Recommended Posts

I recently installed Windows 7 x64 via Boot Camp on my MacBook following the release of the new drivers. However when shutting down or rebooting back to OS X, I am greeting with the below error. Although the screenshot is taken of VMware Fusion, this also happens when booted directly into the Windows partition.

A Google search of the error returned no exact results, but similar codes suggested that a process was having encountering problems ending and causing the problem.error.png

Has anybody encountered anything similar in the past?

I've never encountered a shutdown error with Boot Camp before. Try re-installing the Snow Leopard drivers, or whichever ones feature Win7 64-bit support.?

If all else fails, perhaps consider a reinstall of Windows. Or try booting up Windows in Safe Mode and do CHKDSK or w/e it's called.

It might also be an issue with boot camp under Fusion with Win7. Try converting the boot camp partotion to a native vm machine. Tough one to call though, it could be many things...

I believe it was stated the problem persists even when actually accessing Windows directly via Boot Camp, not VMware Fusion.
