ylcard
Its a console game shouldn't the solo part of it be considered enjoyable? If a lot are saying the solo is bad then as far as I'm concerned they failed 100%. First of all it's not just a console game, second of all it is enjoyable, just not for your taste. It gets boring after a while if you play solo, but so does every other game ever made, well at least in my opinion.
cropcircles
If you don't like it you don't like it, dunno why you need someone to try and convince you otherwise, all that matters is how you feel. But calling it the worst game ever is going to get you some grief in here, it's far far from that, no matter how much you dislike it. Exactly. We all have games we really enjoy and others we don't. Don't feel bad you don't like it even though its a very popular game. I've played it and its allot of fun. I'm not into MMO/MMORPG but I'm pretty certain I wouldn't go into the WoW thread and start criticizing that type of gaming genre. Just curious what are some of your favorite games you like to play. NikkiRox
Borderlands for me is boring solo, but its extremely addictive and fun to play with someone else.... I'm like that with any single player game though. I'd rather be playing co-op or multiplayer games. Everyone just has different opinions on what they want to play. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted February 19, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 19, 2010 lol @ topic title. I thought it was Haze, Lair etc? :p Very very very far from being the "worst game ever".
carmatic
"why would you want your mind changed?" Because this is another person who probably posts stuff on here like this regularily. Been influenced by other people choosing his stuff for him for so long, he can't make up his own mind. Kind oif like how so many people got influenced towards saying Google and Firefox are the greatest things since bread!! Very few people can make up their own minds anymore, it seems. i think a nicer way to put it is, what do you actually like about the game? maybe if you tried to look at it differently , you would enjoy it alot more
hotdog666al
Oh yeah that's definitely another thing worth noting: Playing solo absolutely sucks, so boring!
iamwhoiam
But calling it the worst game ever is going to get you some grief in here, it's far far from that, no matter how much you dislike it. Being "far far from that" my be your opinion, but not the opinion of the OP, no matter how much you like it.
John Freeman
Being "far far from that" my be your opinion, but not the opinion of the OP, no matter how much you like it. Subjectivity has borders, you know. There are opinions and then theres just... that. Especially when one is making "worst xyz ever" statements. jshimmy3
*points to member title* I love Borderlands, I really do - I've beaten the game now though and haven't picked it up since Mad Moxxi's DLC w/ some friends, but the next DLC looks sweet. Something about it I love. I'm not a hardcore Call of Duty all day person, so that might be why most don't like it - no real good pvp system. Matrix XII
I love Borderlands :) Definitely goes to show that to each his own. Yeah no kidding, I was just searching for a Borderlands thread to give it some praise. It's definitely a looting and doing standard missions, but it's really fun to play coop. I've been playing with friends who normally don't play games and they are getting into it, so it makes it even more fun in that respect.
Hani
I've started playing this and I'm loving it (Y)
MightyJordan
Yikes, worst game ever? I wasn't the biggest fan of the game (I stopped playing once my character hit level 16 or so), but that's a pretty extreme statement. I'd rather play this than E.T. for the Atari 2600, that's for sure :). This. I didn't like Borderlands either, but it's certainly not "the worst game ever". The worst game ever is a game that's riddled with more bugs than features and is pretty much broken. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is a good contender for the worst game ever. Just watch the video review on Gamespot there, and you'll see why.
Singh400
Just got back in Borderlands (after a looonnnngggg break). Picked up where I left off in Zombie Island (Dead Haven ftw). Plan to blast through that, and nail Knoxx to a wall as soon as ;) Just wish I could find a better Hellfire, now that they nerfed New Haven farming (yes I am aware of Crimson Fastness being better for farming). curme
I rented it to see what all the fuss was about and I thought it was terrible. I knew from the tutorial at the beginning that it wasn't for me. Maybe it was my fault because it was billed as a sort of RPG and was disappointed at the lack of the customization. I didn't like the graphic style, although it looked cool in the intro movie, it just didn't seem to translate in the gameplay. The game mechanics also seemed clunky to me (PS3). I played solo, so maybe that has something to do with it. Oh well, we all don't have to like everything, although I think it always interesting to hear different opinions. +jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted March 1, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted March 1, 2010 Borderlands is meant to be played with 4 people - it has a solo option but it's really quiet and really slowly paced if you do that. For instance, the difficulty increases as more people join, and the rewards get bigger too.Even the bad guys shout out 'they' and 'they're' .. hehe. It's like the game is pre-programmed for more than 1 player.
