Tech Star
Vietnam? LAME I'll skip this like I did WaW in favour of IW's next cod game Agreed...all for the part except the next IW game. **** IW and CoD. MW2 is crap and a let down with all those glitches and ****ty SP. Bring on BF3, Medal of Honor, and BF:BC2. I laughed This. Youre missing out then, i thought the same but then borrowed it from a friend, its a pretty decent game especially by Treyarch. Missing out on what? A direct port of the engine and mechanics and feel of CoD:MW? All that is changed was the story, but to a crappy one, and mutli-player (a little)? what
I want a first person shooter about war in the Middle East, Korea or Vietnam. Probably won't see anything about war in the Middle East for a while. Can't see a game glamourising a war that is still going on going down too well. LightEco
I'm looking forward to the singleplayer experience. MW2's campaign was just too short and too insane, it didn't come close to the greatness that was COD4's campaign. I actually liked the campaign from WAW better than MW2 as well as Veteran was actually a challenge and the main character didn't die like 8 times. I actually really liked Call of Duty 1 and Call of Duty 2, so no I don't have WWII games. I also never said MW2 was good, it's a POS. Glitchy and crappy multi-playerand horrible story. CoD:MW1 on the other hand was a REALLY good game, which is still really good to this date.
Lamp0
CoD:MW1 on the other hand was a REALLY good game, which is still really good to this date. See, I don't get this. Every one loves COD4 as if it's the best thing ever made and then slams MW2 like is the worst thing ever made. I think COD4 is more over rated than MW2 at the moment. No one likes MW2, even the people who still play it. I feel MW2 simply built on the annoyances of COD4, and made them extra annoying. Still, I am interested to see how this looks. CoD:MW did not have any of the crappy stuff like Heartbeat sensor, dual Akimbos, crappy perks, etc. It was also not as glitchy and crappy multi-player wise as MW2. COD4 is overrated, but it still is a good game and better than MW2.

CoD4 had some decent ideas on where shooters should go in the future expanding on already established ideas (ranks & unlocks) and introducing things like perks. Adding another level of customization. MW2 they had ran out of ideas and just tried to +1 them selfs, falling flat on their facing in doing so. Treyarch have done nothing but ride the coat tails of someone elses success. If they were to release it as: "GENERIC WW2 SHOOTER IV - UBER NAZI KILLIN BROMANCE" no one would have paid any attention to it.

Sethos
Makes me cringe every time someone defends World at War, that game was so abysmal. The maps were so poorly structured and most of them were so drab and bland, you were hit with a minor depression every time you played the game. The sounds were awful, the Call of Duty 4 sounds had some of the most bland sounds I heard in a long time, so tinny and boring yet Treyarch manages to outshine them in that department. The net-code in itself couldn't handle all those single-shot and bolt action rifles and it ruined the experience, shoot someone at 5 meters or 500 meters and the bullet travel time was exact the same, that golden 1 second ... So retarded. The ONLY decent thing about World at War was that zombie crap and even that lost its edge 2 hours into it. So they copied a game, made it a lot more bland in a different era and released it - Yay (N) And Treyarch still makes some of the worst Single-player campaigns around, again, words like drab, boring and bland comes to mind and they have never been able to get it right, the Call of Duty 3 campaign was exactly the same. Call of Duty 4 was great for its time, a great shooter with some new aspects. World at War just rode the recipe and did so with no class at all. It warms my heart when I see the overall opinion has now grasped this, seeing as I was one of the few people around here 3 years ago trying to tell people the very same thing :p What I didn't see happening was the complete mess IW would turn MW into... Have you tried writing some proper posts instead of sounding like a 12 year old on crack constantly. I played a heap of World War II games and it's my favorite era yet Treyarch managed to butcher it, completely. And don't make it sound like I'm some MW2 fan because I hated that game  And you totally didn't understand the argument, it's the LAYOUT of maps, it's the use of EFFECTS, it's the TEXTURES, it's the DESIGN that looks terrible. It has nothing to do with the era itself, it's just developers who lack passion because World War II offers a lot of awesome scenarios and possibilities, even the pacific theater offered some staggering battles and some amazing possibilities yet Treyarch failed to capture any of it and made a crappy game overall. The only place I remember as being good was the beach landing mission. Treyarch are a bunch of budget developers who were amazingly drafted to do these Call of Duty spin-offs and they suck at it.
