+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted February 23, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted February 23, 2010 Five games were nominated by the Writers Guild of America for the award of "Best Video Game Writing". Only one could win. And no, it wasn't Modern Warfare 2.Even though Activision's shooter was nominated (perhaps based on the quantity rather than quality of the game's writing), along with Assassin's Creed II...X-Men Origins and...Wet, the winner was of course Uncharted 2, and specifically, writer Amy Hennig. We say "of course" because it just wouldn't be an end-of-year awards ceremony without Naughty Dog's title walking away with all the major honours. soniqstylz
R&C and Batman were better written than some of those games.

Elliott
Yea, no kidding it won. I agree that Uncharted 2 was probably the best written and acted game I played this year, but going up against Wet, X-Men Origins, and MW2? Seriously? The only competition there was AC2. Massiveterra
I really don't get why people **** all over the story of this game. I thought the story and dialog was supurbly written. It definitely was my personal 4th Indiana Jones movie.
KoL Veteran Posted February 23, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 23, 2010 They are taking all awards. They deserve them. I wouldn't be surprise if instead of Uncharted 2, AC2 would've won the award.
