There has to be an easier way...

Question

First, my game design website:

http://www.nightlord.com

And no, it's not "commercial". It's just an idea I've been working on for quite some time.

Anyhow, back in the day I screwed up and fiddled with it in Microsoft Office. Now, I can't remember what any of the damn code means so I'm having a hard time fixing it.

Also, there's a graphic to the left of the menu area... which should be on the right. I'd like to turn the site into a CSS3 friendly place, but haven't a clue how to code it.

Maybe you should start over after reading some tutorials if you don't have a clue about the current code.

You can start looking for free CSS templates once you get a feeling of some of the basic code to understand how it works and then move on with your site.

Just a suggestion, hope it helps.

I'm sorry you are frustrated mate but I think for anybody here to help, you have to actually tell us what you are trying to accomplish. Is your main goal to re-create the website using current standards? The person above me seems to have thought so but it wasn't clear cut to me.

Yea, other than the left-side graphic being on the wrong side, I like the look of the site.

The idea is to recreate it with organized code instead of the mess Office created.

Which graphic? Could give you a quick fix for that I'm sure.

As the others have said though you would be better off saving all the images and text and redoing the site. Otherwise you'll be constantly wrestling with it and it will just become more and more of a pain.

Yea, that's what I was thinking... but back when I first created the "site", it was nowhere near what it looks like now. When I first got Frontpage, I actually got to add graphics. Then, for whatever reason, I edited the site with Word (I think) and the code was forever fubared. How the hell I managed the screw the graphics layout, I'll never know.

If you look at the site, you'll notice on the right that the light gray area just sort of stops.

Now look at the left side. See the light gray area surrounding the menu? To the left of the is another light gray area that just stops. THAT should be on the right.

Therefore, the left side should end with the menu area and the right side should end in dark gray instead of the light gray area.

Anyhow, I'm going to have to lookup how to do it again, probably with CCS3 standard for future proofing.

Totally forgot that I made up your site that day. Well, when I said 'made' I really mean made a start. Managed to mess up the navigation panel as I was being a bit rushed and may have not read your last post when I did it. Anyway...

Thought this might help you get started Site.zip :)

One tip just form a quick look at you code, go to you css, find #content img and delete that margin you have in there, that puts your top_curve in the right place :)
