jelli
Found an interesting issue with the last played field. Apparantly Steam time travels now as well :)
bob_c_b
Yeah, I can. Your hair sucks. ;) Inherent irony that you're griping about people griping. When it's a product millions of people use every day and hasn't changed visually in over five years, of course not everyone is going to be happy with those changes. I was actually talking about the complaints regarding "empty space", I pretty much disregarded your reply as drama when you threw out the term "hack job". Back on topic, looks pretty good and I'm sure the BETA will work out many of these bugs. The discussion over at the Steam boards is pretty hectic but there are some intersting post. Chasethebase Reporter Posted February 28, 2010 Reporter Share Posted February 28, 2010 Found an interesting issue with the last played field. Olemus
Found an interesting issue with the last played field. Apparantly Steam time travels now as well :) I believe it's a time zone error. The client displays information based on Valves time zone so we get strange errors like that. ViZioN
Yeah that's a known issue I think they'll be fixing soon. They've said a fix will be coming asap for the invisible text when using the overlay I'm game. Apparently adding the -nodwrite switch to a Steam shortcut though, if you can't wait :p
jelli
Theres some really nice skins appearing as well, removes alot of the padding making it more compact. Have to say really loving this UI and the only major issue I have is the invisible text in the Steam overlay. Example Steam 2010 UI Beta Skin

Master Shake
A few quirks but I really like it. It's been needing an overhaul for a while now.
bob_c_b
Any ETA on when they will release a "final" product or is this one of those open ended beta tests (see Google for examples)?
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 5, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 5, 2010 I assume the final release will coincide with the release of the Mac version. With the Portal stuff they're doing there's lots of talk about the 11th of March (Gabe Newell's getting an award that day, and the Portal BBS, GLaDOS's version number is 3.11), but who knows.
