Ironman273
Is there any way to bring back the HTML formatting toggle? Sometimes when I'm posting news from other sites I copy and paste the text. I appreciate that it keeps all the links and other stuff, but sometimes I need to get in there and fix some errant tags. In the "old" Neowin I could do that by toggling HTML mode which would show all the tags, fix the ones that needed fixing, then re-enable HTML to see what it looks like. Sethos showed me where I could turn off HTML formating in my profile, but I'd rather not have it turned off all the time. So, umm, please?

Ironman273
Even if it's a "no" it'd be nice to get some sort of response... :( On a similar note, when I try to edit something using the quick editor it seems to break the tags in the post. For example, I did a reply, then wanted to add a link to it so I clicked edit, highlighted the word and used the link button to add the link. When I clicked OK the post now had an "<href=" tag and didn't show the link. If I then edited the post, clicked on use full editor, didn't change anything else and just clicked OK, it fixed the post. Steven P. Administrators Posted March 3, 2010 Administrators Share Posted March 3, 2010 I'm pretty sure that if you are using the RTE on the forums there is a button which allows you to view the "source code". I use the BBCODE editor myself so I might be wrong. Can you confirm that this is possible? AFAIK pasting text from a website into a RTE retains all of the formatting right?
