Prosidius
It seems I only stay logged in for a few hours and then I get logged out. I check the "remember me" box on the login page and I changed nothing in Firefox so I'm unsure what the issue is. Did something change on Neowin's end? Timan Veteran Posted February 25, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 25, 2010 There have been a few others with this issue, I'm curious if anyone has had these issues in "non" firefox browsers.

Prosidius
The issue has only just started occuring too, like in the past day or so.
Napalm Frog
I've also had this issue starting to occur, but for me it's more like a logout once every few days.

iamwhoiam
There have been a few others with this issue, I'm curious if anyone has had these issues in "non" firefox browsers. IE, FF, and Chrome. Another related issue...I can be reading posts, click to go to the next page of comments and get logged out on the spot, sign back in and go to the next page and get logged out again. Jebadiah
IE, FF, and Chrome. Another related issue...I can be reading posts, click to go to the next page of comments and get logged out on the spot, sign back in and go to the next page and get logged out again. I reported the same issues as yours and the OP's 2-3 weeks ago. One time it so happened that I typed my whole comment in the news article and then when I clicked Add Comment, it gave me an error saying that I am not authorized to post comments. I refreshed the page and I saw that I was logged out. This has been happening since the Atlas upgrade. I am guessing the way the user sessions are handled has changed for the worse since the upgrade. +M2Ys4U Subscriber¹ Posted February 27, 2010 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 27, 2010 It's happening to me constantly today. Every dozen or so page views I get kicked out. SyntaxError
The main news pages seems to be borked now. If I go to it, it's mostly blank, plus it shows me as logged out, but when I click the Forum link, I'm not logged out. Screenshot:
Steven P. Administrators Posted March 3, 2010 Administrators Share Posted March 3, 2010 Is this still happening?
Mike
Still happening for me (Opera) but, when I visit a news article I get a cookie "viewXXXXX" which has a timestamp as it's value - presumably when I read the page. Browsers only allow a certain amount of cookies per domain - Opera is 30, FF/IE are 50. When that limit is reached, the browser deletes a cookie everytime the site adds another one, at some point I guess it deletes the cookie holding the login info and so logs you out :/ edit: Just tried it out, visited enough news pages to get up to 30 cookies, visited a few more and was logged out and the pass hash cookie had vanished.
