Problem connecting with Linksys Router

I have a wireless linksys router but when i put in 192.168.1.1 to connect to the router it doesnt go . no configuration page opens, all other internet activity is fine though, i have restarted the cable modem and the router but still nothing

You sure thats the correct IP address? I know the linksys waps default to 192.168.1.251, yes the 192.168.1.1 is default for the befsr41 and the x41, etc.. What is the model number of your linksys router. And has it been changed? - they can be changed you know.

If your internet is working - then the ip address of the router has to be your default gateway, take a look at ipconfig - and what does it say the ip address of your default gateway is.

thanks its working now. I had disabled a Internet Sharing file, re enabled it and it works

Huh? What does "internet sharing file" - whatever that is, have to do with pulling up the web interface to your linksys?

Edit: please tell me you do not have a router, but are using ICS on one of your machines anyway - through the router??

i re enabled the Internet GATEWAY part of the internet connection and it started working. i finally was able to go into the linksys web interface
