Old rumour though looking at the first comment 5 months ago... Don't see it being that really.

Killzone 3 is set to arrive in stereoscopic 3D and use Sony's motion wand - rumoured to be called 'Arc' - a source has told CVG.

According to our contact, the Guerrilla Games sequel will launch as part of a big 3D push for the PlayStation 3 this Christmas - far earlier than we expected.

While our source is unsure if the follow-up is indeed the "Sony sequel" that looks set to be unveiled tonight, we're assured that the information on the game itself is "rock solid".

Earlier this year PSM3 Magazine also went on record that Killzone 3 information would arrive in "the coming months".

Check back later tonight to see if this is indeed the announcement.

More rumours

"We thought it was MS3 here at the tilt, but since have been shown new footage of Starhawk and we are about 80% positive it's Starhawk now. The MS3 trailer will be shown off at GDC next week. It looks amazing, by the way.

As for Starhawk, what we've seen, Starwars has little on it. It looks intense and epic."

[...]

"It looks better than Warhawk. Things are more streamline now. The characters are more scaled. Much thinner and lankier. The textures have improved a great deal. A tad under Uncharted 2's maybe... Somewhere in between.

The trailer we've seen has a central planet where a battle is taking place, a black ship with red boosters lifts off and jumps into space, one movement and animation, and engauges in a dogfight with a massive fleet of other ships. Way more than 32, believe me. More like 100, but don't quote me on the exaxt number.

One ship lands on the deck of a larger battleship thing and a guy jumps out. He has a laser rifle. He shoots out a node on the side of the ship. Ship starts rocking. At this time a massive amount of other ships storm the larger battle ship and start hitting it in sweeps. Guy jumps off the ship's landing and rocket boost away as the ship explodes.

Trailer ends.

It looks intense. Massive battles here. Massive."

Guys, I know you love to whip yourselves into a frenzy but no, we are not showing you a Killzone 3 trailer tonight on GTTV. The trailer we're showing is definitely a big frontline title for PS3 though. I believe some info will be online in advance of the trailer.

Hmm, it may be Starhawk after all. Here's hoping it's not Resistance 3, I have no interest whatsoever in that game.

Insomniac already confirmed it's nothing to do with them.

Geoff again,

Not Starhawk or MS3! Tune in and see.

WTF is left?

Syphon Filter?

any news on it yet AB? if not is there a ETA?

There's some announcement from SCEE at 8pm, then GTTV is on later tonight with a trailer, both are believed to be linked...

However the game is not

Resistance 3 or anything to do with Insomniac

Killzone 3

Starhawk

Motorstorm 3

Twisted Metal 3 (Jaffe posted something on his blog)

So people are a bit surprised...

Bets now,

Syphon Filter

InFamous 2

Sly Cooper 4

All I can come up with.

10 minutes to letdown! (if SCEE announcement ties into GTTV)

Could be a sequel to an old PS2 franchise seeing as it turned 10 years old today, would be a fitting announcement to make for that purpose.
