Yet another Gran Turismo teaser bent on severely whetting your gaming appetite. This time around, though, things get a bit more enticing. Our friends over at Playstation and Polyphony Digital gave us an advanced screening of the game's latest addition: NASCAR. After four editions, America's most popular racing series is finally making its way into the GT franchise. "The goal of Gran Turismo is to represent all sorts of motorsports and all sorts of cars and racing styles from around the world, the beauty of cars and of racing," said Gran Turismo founder and Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi. Click to view Gallery "Nascar is the heart of motorsports in America and holds a special place with the hearts of many Americans. So I'm very excited to add Nascar to Gran Turismo 5 for everyone to experience." We've played advanced demo versions of the long-awaited Gran Turismo 5 and have come away impressed with its blend of realism and user-friendliness. While these demos have been limited in both circuits and vehicles considering the amount of each the final product is said to tout, we're ready to be impressed by the production-ready version of GT5 when it becomes available - hopefully later this year. NoLiMiT06
Even when EA was doing the NASCAR game it was outdated while they were making the game... If they do free DLC with new cars and such I think it would be good and keep a sort of roster update system in place. What NASCAR tracks do they have in the game besides Daytona? Motoko.
Nascar is a joke IMO I see no value in it.
.KICK
Why the hell did they bother wasting time and effort with Nascar?! :s EA makes the game and all you do is going around in an oval so was it really needed.

Becaaaause there's fans of Nascar in America and this will help sales in that region? Usually GT sells heavily in favour of Europe, why not bring something new to the table? PD aren't Activision they don't release the same game every year with a few extra things and a boatload of new bugs.

Fish
The PD hype machine keeps on rolling. It needs to, too. I'm slowly loosing interest in GT5 now. What's the latest estimated ETA?
