vincent
Firefox 3.6 is unresponsive alot when clicking around in Neowin, no other site. Attached is the error log.
Mathachew Veteran Posted March 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 4, 2010 Those are just CSS warnings, not really errors. They shouldn't cause any real performance issues.
DirtyLarry Veteran Posted March 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 4, 2010 I too am having major issues with the site and FF today.
vincent
Those are just CSS warnings, not really errors. I'm getting tons of Force Closes in Windows
Nightwind Hawk
I've had no problems... if anything, I think Neowin isn't as "friendly" with IE (although it's not their fault at all... IE doesn't support most of the good features they put in!)
Rappy Veteran Posted March 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 4, 2010 I am getting no errors today
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted March 4, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted March 4, 2010 These aren't errors, they're just not standard bits of code. Internet Explorer, Gecko and WebKit all have different versions of rounded borders, box shadows and whatnot, so all three have to be put in Neowins css. So basically if you're on any browser, one set will work, but 2 of them won't. Nothing to worry about though.

Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted March 4, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 4, 2010 FireFox 3.6 on both windows 7 and Windows XP Pro SP3 no issues so far. Other than the pages takeing rather long time to load, and every once in a while getting the this page cannot be displayed message, however, this only happens at work and i blame our poor network connection. FloatingFatMan
Not getting any crashes BUT, the forums have just majorly screwed up in IE8 for me. All I'm seeing now is the google ad from the top of the page, and the rest of the page is completely blank. No forums, nothing. Page source gives me: <script type="text/javascript" src="https://ad2.netshelter.net/adj/ns.neowin.net/general;ppos=atf;kw=;tile=1;dcopt=ist;sz=728x90;ord=1790954973204748?"></script><script language="javascript" src="https://a.collective-media.net/cmadj/ns.neowin.net/general;kw=;dcopt=ist;tile=1;sz=728x90;ppos=atf;ord=1790954973204748;ord1=846667;cmpgurl=http%253A//www.neowin.net/forum/forum/58-real-world-news/?"></script><script language="Javascript">CollectiveMedia.createAndAttachAd("ns-67293320_1267739122","http://ad.doubleclick.net/adj/ns.neowin.net/general;net=ns;u=,ns-67293320_1267739122,11486da7e20ae8f,ce_laptops_apple,;;kw=;dcopt=ist;tile=1;ord1=846667;sz=728x90;ppos=atf;contx=ce_laptops_apple;btg=;ord=1790954973204748?","728","90",false);</script> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> </script><script src="https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/test_domain.js"></script><script src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/render_ads.js"></script><script>google_protectAndRun("render_ads.js::google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);</script> However, on Chrome, the forums are perfectly fine! Steven P. Administrators Posted March 4, 2010 Administrators Share Posted March 4, 2010 Yeah we tried to delay external scripts loading first in firefox/chrome, but that broke IE :( We're still looking into solutions to speed up rendering of the site. FloatingFatMan
^ Ah, I see! Well, your devs must have changed that change back, as IE's working again. :p

Nagisan
Opera appears to have been working fine as well during the changes (no crashes or anything while FF and Chrome users were reporting issues).
bjoswald
I've had a few quirks with Neowin and Opera, but everything else is fine.
Growled Member Posted March 5, 2010 Member Share Posted March 5, 2010 I've only been on my customary 10 minutes today but during that small amount of time I had no problems either, with Chrome or Opera.
SyntaxError
I've got tons of css errors for Neowin as well, all different than the ones in the OP screenshot, but the site seems to work fine. There was one thread where the "last post" button on the spy page would take me to the first post of the thread, but no big deal.
Timan Veteran Posted March 5, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 5, 2010 Those are not errors. They have absolutely no effect on how the site works in firefox. Those are css bits for rounded-corners/dropdshadows for other browsers.
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted March 5, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted March 5, 2010 Actually, what about '-moz-outline' ? It should just be 'outline', right?
