Firefox Question

Recommended Posts

How do I make firefox to ask me a confirmation to Quit the app when I press CMND + Q.

Sometimes I mistakenly press CMND + Q when I actually want to press CMND + W and thus loose all the youtube video lectures that I have saved.

Is there a way for firefox to ask me first whether I really want to quit ? I tried looking in the preferences but no real help.

TIA :)

Have you turned on the "Open windows and tabs that were open before quitting"(I can't remember if that's the right wording) in the General preferences?

I think if you turn that off then Firefox will tell you that you have open tabs and "Do you want to save these tabs" - I think that is the only way of having some sort of dialog box from Firefox upon quit.

It should ask you if you want to Quit/Save Quit/Cancel if you go to File->Exit instead of using the "X" to close. Have you tried that?

Yes I used to get that option before, but I changed it to 'never ask me again when I quit' and thus it doesn't ask me.

Is there a way to get those options back?

Thanks
