game_over
I have a problem with the screen on the newest imac It almost looks as if steam has gathered under the glass. When it's turned off there are white marks spreading out from the top left corner and all down the left side. It doesn't effect the display at all when turned on, it's only noticeable when it's turned off. I don't think it is steam but that is the only way to describe it, it's underneath the glass because i can't rub it off. Anyone else got this? can i sort it myself? DirtyLarry Veteran Posted March 7, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 7, 2010 It is a known issue. http://www.engadget....d-condensation/ I had it happen on my iMac as well. I tried to find the thread I started here about the whole thing, but I am unable to locate it unfortunately. Anyway, it eventually went away on its own, Apple refused to fix it for me after I took it into the store twice and contacted their support via phone and also spoke to a customer service manager, so yeah, it seems as if you are stuck with it. As I said it did go away, so you are okay there, but the fact it is even happening is a joke. The final official word I received was "make sure it is not close to an air conditioner." Honestly I am fully expecting it to come back again this summer.
