Wmp

OK, try this. It's a longshot but it might work. Download "Power Toys for Media Player 7" here...

http://download.microsoft.com/download/win...-US/wmptoys.exe

Then once installed find "clearmru" and run it. This gets rid of most recently run urls and it worked for MP7. It might just work for MP8 as well. Let me know if it does.

And yes, I have always understood your question. :D

Ok, included in the WMP Bonus Pack for Win XP, there's the WMP Tray Control feature. When you run this feature, a icon will appear in your system tray. Right click on the icon and go to "Options." In there you will see options to "Turn off Media Player MRU (most recently used)" and "Clear MRU." That should solve your problem. Also, if you go into WMP and go to "Options, under the "Player" tab you will see an option to "Add items to media player when played." Apperently unchecking that option will not only do what it says, but also not add files that you open into the MRU list. Hope that helps!

What can I do about the damn web pages that popup in WMP? ( I mean when you click a link to watch a video or listen to the radio, sometimes they popup their web page on you... ) Can I turn that feature off?
