here is an example..

and where to find shadow details in BFBC2??

and what can i do more to shadow then Enthusiast setting in Crysis Warhead?

and i must say.. it did go partially away from one game it was GTA4..

but all other games i play at MAX becoz of my crappy res of 1024x768.. and i dont think so its because of that.. or can it be?

Shadow detail, forcing AA, drivers, the game... All can increase/decrease jaggies. Your resolution can cause it too.

Low resolution = less pixels = more jaggies

AA = reduces jaggies

No AA = guaranteed jaggies

Get a decent monitor. ;)

It may just be a graphics card glitch. Look for 'soft shadows' in your game settings and make sure they're on.

To add on whats been said so far, it varies from game to game. Some games have graphics engines that support soft shadows while others don't. Bad Company 2, for example, only supports soft shadow map filtering in DX11-only. Traditionally, soft shadow rendering was hardware intensive. I guess it's why we don't see it that often in games; however, newer APIs such as DirectX 11 offer features that make soft shadow rendering efficient.

Take a look at this: http://developer.download.nvidia.com/presentations/2008/GDC/GDC08_SoftShadowMapping.pdf

It's a bit advanced, but the images do a good job of showing the difference between soft shadows and "jaggy" shadows.

:p

but the problem is that it happens sometimes.. and sometimes it dont..

im just worried that i hope its not a faulty GPU or something??? could it be?

due to overheating or something?
