Scirwode
I just wanted to know, how was this page made? Here's the link. I like that you're able to highlight country music lovers and Star Wars fans. I'm interested in trying it out and seeing if it is possible on my network. Thanks :D . 0 +virtorio MVC Posted March 10, 2010 MVC Share Posted March 10, 2010 That page totally kills (or slows down, if you like) Safari. At least on my computer.

0 Cupcakes
No, it's not you. EVERY "thumbnail" is just resized via html (or CSS, I didn't look). The actual size that loads is 567px ? 850px. That's why it takes forever (even on a fast connection.) Not the best optimization at all on their site.
0 Kudos Veteran Posted March 10, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 10, 2010 With those stupid sized profile photos, that page took 1 minute and 35 seconds to load here... and they're an ISP? lol.
0 Ryoken
One of my friends insists on using the images straight from her camera on websites.. Says if you resize it she can "see" the loss of quality lol.. So you go to a gallery page with 50thumbs each 2-4mb..
0 The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 10, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 10, 2010 That page made my Firefox use 530MB of RAM, more than TF2 on my system. One of my friends insists on using the images straight from her camera on websites.. Says if you resize it she can "see" the loss of quality lol.. So you go to a gallery page with 50thumbs each 2-4mb.. She realises the browser resizes them for display, right? (and not very well at that)
