Steffan
I have noticed that a lot more stores and websites are allowing gamers to trade-in their games for cash/store credit. I have a lot of games and a couple of systems that I would like to trade-in and either get cash for them or purchase a game or two. Is there any website or store that's better then others? I would prefer to stay away from eBay if I can. TIA
Snakehn
stay away from gamestop also, unless you think your games worth nothing.

Trading in games will get you next to nothing at a regular retailer.
mokthraka
stay away from gamestop also, unless you think your games worth nothing. with my edge card I sold modern warfare 2 for $30, and then bought the 360 version used for $40. thats pretty damn good IMO
sambrentnall
Are you in the UK? You could try CEX there normally the best for trading but Game is pretty much offering a new game for ?10 if you trade in a relatively new game :)

Massiveterra
I usually say stay away from Gamestop but they still have the " trade-in value + 50% of trade-in value" special right now
metal_dragen Veteran Posted March 10, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 10, 2010 I live in USA. The games and systems I want trade-in/sell are PS2, Gamecube, N64, SNES, and GameBoy Given what you are looking to trade, you aren't going to get much if anything for them. You're better off trying eBay, Craigslist or something similar. For example, after I got my 360, I traded in my PS2 (fat) and about 20 games with the cables and 2 controllers, all fully functioning, and got about $50 in store credit from Gamestop. If I'd taken cash, I wouldv'e only taken home about $30. Also, this was the beginning of 2008, so the prices they are paying are probably even lower now. You can always call and get an idea of what they'll pay for the system. The games I wouldn't even bother worrying about quoting - the most you'll get from a trade-in is about $3-4 in credit. ____
You can check out the Gamestop trade in values for PS2 and Gamecube here. Gameboy here. You'll get an additional %50 on games if you trade them in by Saturday and an additional %25 to accessories if you trade them in tomorrow with the weekly coupon. You'll probably get the most for it on craigslist if you can find someone local interested in older games, I doubt ebay will turn out to be much better than Gamestop by the time you pay listing fees and shipping. deadnite
You can use http://www.goozex.com/trading/sections/games. I've been using it for over a year, and it's pretty good if you are patient. It does take a while to get brand new games though.
