DClark
My PS3 has an issue where whte specks are appearing all over the screen when using the XBM GUI. It looks like a bad signal on an analogue system. Good news is that the video feed is clean when I play Blu-rays. I don't know if this problem persists with games, as I don't play them on the PS3. My 20 year old NES system is working fine though.

AbandonedTrolley
If you mean the 'shimmering' effect, try going into Settings > Theme and set to Classic :)
DClark
Yeah - I thought the same as you guys (that it was the XBM theme) - not the case though. Even when it goes to black before a Blu-ray is loaded, the white specks appear. Clearly a distortion issue and not intentional by design.
DirtyLarry Veteran Posted March 11, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2010 Just thinking it is not a distortion issue if Blu Rays work. Can you take a picture or something? Just weird it does not happen with BluRays.
sn00pie
I get it all the time. Its your TV. If you change the XMB color to red it will go away, but for most other colours like blue, you see these weird white marks on the screen, sort of like a ****ty quality photo. BD movies, games, movies are fine for me too, its just an XMB thing for me.

DClark
Functioning at 1080p. Not a cable issue as the video feed is clean when playing Blu-rays.
Pheee
Never heard of this issue before, as DirtyLarry said, best to take a photo.
