giantpotato
So in other words, Ubisoft's DRM would be working as expected, except there are a bunch of pirates who are crying because they can't play a game for free, so they've decided to make it so legitimate customers can't play. DRM on the games that use this were cracked on day 1. Pirates can play the Ubisoft games without trouble. This is really just a protest against the DRM in use which legitimate purchasers have to suffer.

The funny thing about this is that legitimate customers cannot play because of the DRM servers being down, but "pirates" that have the game can play just fine. I mean, its funny :) -Vivicidal-, troist and Vice 3 Share

It's just my thought I found this really stupid lol.

They just cracked the DRM and play offline which honestly is like 20% of what games offer these days. Single player modes in many games these days are much poorer than the multiplayer mode. Ok make more sense now. I wasn't getting the point of doing that. I thought with the new UBI online live stuff whatever they call it, you had to be log in in order to play the game even for single player.

I presume thats the point, the average gamer will be moaning and unhappy with Unisoft.

I have yet to play it, but Assassins Creed 2 is a multiplayer game?? AC1 was an awesome SP game... Didn't get any MP in there. I thought this DRM only applies to AC2 and Silent Hunter 5 or something like that so far?
