DARKNRGY
I'm thinking about buying a used copy of Bad Company 2 for the PC. I haven't purchased or played any retail PC games since Battlefield 2142 but hope to get back to my ol' PC gaming ways soon. I was wondering if the online multiplayer works the same way as before where when you buy a new copy of a game, there is a product key in which you register/link to an EA or online account. Does it still work like that? Because I wouldn't want to buy Bad Company 2 to find out that I can't play multiplayer due to an already used game key. I ask because most games today will have reusable keys, at least the offline RTS games I play like C&C:TW. I can use the key on more than one desktop. Not sure if it applies to online play. AJC.
I would just buy a new copy or better yet buy it on steam and get the Limited Edition copy that gives you cool weapons. I just wouldn't trust a used one. => Steam Edition <= and ya you can link the game to your EA account but the EA downloader is horrible compared to steam. :x Also, what kind of GPU do you have because if you think the GPU that ran 2142 is gonna be smooth with the frostbite engine, you better rethink your strategy!
trag3dy
BC2 is $39.99 on amazon. All the limited edition unlocks are unlocked within the first 15 ranks so it's really not a deal breaker to get that, in my opinion. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002NIP2SM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p63_t2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1QD04ZXA6C011G71QEXE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 As AJC said you need a pretty decent computer to run the game smoothly though. AJC.
They don't sell used PC games because of the CD Key. As most people said though just buy it on steam or amazon. Just getting a used one is not a smart idea
