I'm going to cry :(

Oh, big deal. That's barely a dent at all! I'm sure there's a Billy Mays product out there that could patch that up. ;)

You could probably get that dent out... but I suppose with it being uni body taking the back panel off wouldn't be easy, if at all possible.

Dunno... the back panel (where the "Apple" is) isn't actually attached in the aluminium part.

It's not impossible, but would completely void the warranty.

I know how you feel, it may be small. But this sort of thing would drive me up the wall. Especially considering it's such an expensive piece of kit. :(

If you haven't had it long, can you not take it back to the apple store and say it was dented when you took it out the box?

They may change it if you're lucky :/

Probably shooting into the dark.

Well, you if you don't want to risk damage or voiding the warranty, you could always just try covering it up.

You know those stickers that they put on laptops? Strategic placement may just cover it, without looking too bad.

I'd call it fixed, almost looks like it should have come that way in the box.

Personally, I'm not terribly worried about warranties myself; I'd try and find a dead unit and see if I could swap the outer bits. Or, if it's really new, try blaming it on "damaged in transit" and shoot for a replacement.

I had a dent on my old MBP from turbulence on an airplane. For me, it wasn't knowing that it was there that drove me crazy. It was the people who noticed it and asked "how'd you do that?", and going through the same story every time.

So, my sympathies - you're now doomed to years of repeating the same painful story.

I dropped my iPhone 2G on the ground, and it some how skidded on the gravel, and scratched both the back and chipped the screen :(
