Battlefield Bad Company 2 Drops SecuROM DRM from Steam

DICE?patched?Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with numerous bug-fixes and UI improvements (full list below). The patch for the?Steam version?of the game is still forthcoming pending some additional testing.Thankfully, multiplayer servers have not been patched so Steam users will be able to play with non-Steam users despite not having the latest client version. SecuROM CD/DVD copy protection will also be removed from the Steam version, which has no disc.

Seems like they are trying to listen to the feedback they are recieving and this will ultimatly cause them to overtake MW2 in the coming months i think.

Hey, I love freedom as much as the next guy, but does this fix the nasty bugs too?

Yep read the release notes there are a ton of single and multiplayer fixes.
