DrunknMunky Veteran Posted March 24, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 24, 2010 March 24th, 2010 @ 12:58 By Johnny Cullen Before Sony had a worldwide restructure, which seen a fair bit of layoffs at Studio Liverpool, the developer had a Wipeout project in development for PS3. The CV of former studio employee, Martin Linklater, shows an ?Unannounced Wipeout Project? for PS3, which is separate from Wipeout HD. His resume also shows a ?Unannounced Action Project? for PS3 and an unannounced platform, which also mentions at the time ?un-announced hardware?. That hardware could turn out to be PlayStation Move. Linklater now has a position at Bizarre Creations since the layoffs at Studio Liverpool. We?ve asked SCEE for comment. http://www.vg247.com/2010/03/24/cv-for-former-scee-staffer-shows-unannounced-wipeout-project-for-ps3/
LingeringSoul
Yikes, I didn't even realize that people were laid off from Studio Liverpool. That sucks big time. WipEout HD is one of my favourite PS3 games, and all three WipEout games they've made in recent memory have been labours of love (Pure, Pulse, HD), especially with all of the content they added to the game. I didn't play much Pulse, but I remember all of the free content that they added to Pure. That's almost unheard of these days. Talk about a team getting something that they didn't deserve... :(
Corris Veteran Posted March 27, 2010 Veteran Share Posted March 27, 2010 Not surprising, I'm pretty sure they said they were going to make a full on Wipeout game after Wipeout HD. Dunno after the fuss of the restructuring of Studio Liverpool if were still going to get it as soon, or if at all now, but here's hoping that action title was Colony Wars, lol. Or even better, rename this rumoured Warhawk sequel, "Starhawk" as Colony Wars on-line or something, that would be awesome.
