soniqstylz
1.5 million sales and they didn't break even? I'd be looking at the Studio's management of expense rather than the games success if that's the case. I'm sure outsourcing to WETA didn't help, even though that was some of the best parts of the game.
Hedon
So. Cage from QD said that they sold 1 million copies of Heavy Rain. He also said that it will probably pick up another 500k in it's life. That is 1.5 million copies.Heavenly Sword broke even at 1.5 million copies, and I assume that Heavy Rain was pretty darn expensive.Sounds like Heavenly Sword was mismanaged financially. PreKe
over half the market or more has Xbox 360s They do? I thought Wii was the dominant console...
Hedon
I don't think people really consider the Wii for developing these types of games for.
Tech Star
I thought the X360 had about 40M in consoles sales and the PS3 had about 34M. Correct me if I am wrong, but the last time I checked half was 1/2 of a total. So 40/2 = 25M. Where are they getting these calculations?

The Market is 74M (40+34) so half the market would be 37M, so Xbox 360 has over half the market
Corris Veteran Posted April 16, 2010 Veteran Share Posted April 16, 2010 The Market is 74M (40+34) so half the market would be 37M, so Xbox 360 has over half the market Why is the "market" just the PS3 and Xbox360, though most don't count it, the Wii is not only part of the market, but dominates it too. and no one has "half the market" at the moment anyway, the Wii however is very close to being over the sales of the Xbox360 and PS3 combined.
