Well in an IDE setup, if you have a master HD and a slave HD, only the master will be using its drive controller to control both hard drives. So therefore it will show the slave as having no drive controller, therefore no DMA.

Your computer is ok.

Technically if you want to have faster transfer between both drives, put the one drive on the Primary IDE CHannel and the other on the secondary. This way, instead of having one drive controller controlling both drives, they will be independent, thus faster transfer.
