Uploading Game From CD To PS3's HDD

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I know on the Xbox360, you can put the whole game on the Xbox's HDD from the actual game (CD) but is there a way to do it on the PS3?

Reason I ask is because I'm quite enjoying Killzone 2 multi-player on the PS3 atm but I gotta return the game later on to my friend.

Is there a way to put the game on the HDD so I can continue playing it without the CD?

Thanks

No you can't, and would no doubt be considered illegal anyway.

The Xbox360 does it, but you need to still need to have the Disk in the console for the game to work even if you have copied it to the hard drive.

Sounds like a waste of space.

That would be illegal anyway. Copying your friends disc and trying to play the game without it. Why not just ask your mate if you can borrow the disc for a bit longer?

Yeah, this is true.

There is no way you can pirate games on the Ps3 so to answer your question, OP - no you can't.

As said there is no way to do this and it's not even viable on the 360 either as you need the original disc even to boot the game to play from the HDD.

Killzone 2 is pretty cheap now as it's gone platinum, I believe Blockbuster were even doing it for a tenner recently. Also pre-owned games aren't such a bad prospect anymore with them coming on bluray discs as they are less likely to light scratching :)

PS3 is my cousins so I'm just borrowing it for abit as he isn't playing it as much.

Nevermind just thought there was a way to do it somehow.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm selling my Killzone 2 PS3 if you want it. Have a look at NeoBay.
