former1
Hi guys, I'm making a website for my university project. Was wondering if anyone could give any advice on the place holder page I've currently got up, should hopefully soon have a full website up and running which I'll post in here once done! Project can be viewed here. Cheers! Ian.
0 Alladaskill17
Unless I'm mistaken, this is the only page? There is no other navigation? Just asking to be sure. Also it is severely basic with just the video. Well done so far though!!! :) Would like to see what ya come up with upon completion.
0 former1
Yeah it's just a placeholder as mentioned, but thought I'd try and get some opinions on video. I'm more curious at the moment to see if people don't like the auto play / heavy music. A full website should be up within the next week :) the application aslo has GPS and route finding at the moment, but making that video in powerpoint (yes I used powerpoint :p) was getting on my nerves haha! Thanks for the feedback!
0 johnporter29
Good design. Just the music is annoying after a couple of seconds.
0 Konstanov
For the video as something more upbeat and cheerful although not as annoying, I would recommend 21 Ghosts III by Nine Inch Nails. 0 former1
Hey Guys, Thanks for the feedback, I agreed with the music so replaced it with something else. I liked that song by NiN but... it just didn't fit right :/ so I've used this! I plan on making a full proper preview video once I get home and have access to Adobe After Effects and Premiere. 0 boogerjones
Looks nice; good use of whitespace and decent color scheme. The navigation buttons would benefit from some kind of subtle mouseover effect. The text underneath each heading on the main page is too big and looks funny with full justification. Related to that, the styling of the text (primarily the size) changes too much when you go from the Home page to the Features page. It should be more consistent. The video page is nicely-done.
