Singh400
Just free for the weekend, and then I have to stump up the cash to continue playing right (not talking about using Steam, talking about buying the game)?

s1k3sT
Must be desperate, which is understandable after they ruined the game by removing dedicated servers and custom map/mod abilities. Dashel 1 Share
tablet_user
Tried it at a friends. Not worth the download bandwidth for a weekend when i got BFBC2
That Guy Veteran Posted April 7, 2010 Veteran Share Posted April 7, 2010 Will there be a price cut this weekend? I'm not paying ?39.99 for a game :p
Sikh
Must be desperate, which is understandable after they ruined the game by removing dedicated servers and custom map/mod abilities. Exactly and there's a bigger community playing COD:MW over MW2. Let MW2 burn so activision can't cashcow on it.

Pablo2008jedi
I played this on my PS3, then sold it (the game not the PS3 :p ). But to try it out on my PC with more mates should be fun, I'll be giving it a try.

LOC Veteran Posted April 7, 2010 Veteran Share Posted April 7, 2010 Must be desperate, which is understandable after they ruined the game by removing dedicated servers and custom map/mod abilities. They aren't desperate at all, they are prepping for the map pack release I'm sure. Exactly and there's a bigger community playing COD:MW over MW2. Let MW2 burn so activision can't cashcow on it. There are way more people playing MW2 than MW1 on PC. Sure, stats wise most of those people on IWNet are playing SP or Co-op, but still there are roughly 15-20,000 MW1 players at any given time and anywhere from 45-180,000 MW2 players at any given time. They are gonna cash cow on it no matter what you guys think sadly. That new map pack sold 2.5 million copies already in a week on XBL.

I tried the link, and although the preload window that comes up shows no progress (stuck at 0%), I checked my traffic monitor and steam was maxing out my connection. Boz
Must be desperate, which is understandable after they ruined the game by removing dedicated servers and custom map/mod abilities. Bingo.. they are getting ass kicked by BC2 now and their online numbers of players are dropping severely. This is what they have to do in order to keep spiking up the number of people. I haven't played MW2 in a month and have no desire to go back to it to be perfectly honest.

No idea how valid it is though.

As good as BC2 does its miniscule compared to MW2 numbers.
