+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted April 9, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted April 9, 2010 Konami's working with a new developer on a new Silent Hill game for "next-gen consoles", aka PS3 and Xbox 360.The publisher revealed the news at an event in Frankfurt, Germany yesterday - dutifully attended by Eurogamer Germany. No other details were given. Silent Hill: Homecoming was Konami's last original take on the IP and was released in autumn 2008 to a lukewarm reception. Better received was Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on Wii, a re-imagining of the first Silent Hill game from 1999. Shattered Memories received a whopping 9/10 here on Eurogamer but sadly hasn't appealed to the Wii audience in quite the same way. Source: http://www.eurogamer...ilent-hill-game Oh god no... WHY KONAMI? This is how you **** on a series that was once a masterpiece (for survival horror fans)....

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted April 9, 2010 Veteran Share Posted April 9, 2010 Ironic that the series was supposed to be their take on horror & bringing life to the genre because they felt RE wasn't doing the job. Pot.kettle.black Konami ;) Could say the same about PES tbh while we're at it.
George P Global Moderator Posted April 9, 2010 Global Moderator Share Posted April 9, 2010 Oh man. Good thing I stopped at 3 and never bothered with 4 or 5. Konami is running out of ideas I guess.
