New Philips 32" - Blurry?

Hey guys, never posted about TV's on Neowin so stay with me - no matter how dumb I sound. Okay, so I recently got a Philips 32" TV from Wal-Mart which you can see here. And as awesome as the TV really is, I noticed that it can be a bit blurry, and can make games such as Modern Warfare 2 look a bit cartoony. The blur can be pretty noticeable, especially when you sit 3 feet away from it like I do. I was wondering, is there anyway I can change the video settings in order to avoid blur? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you connecting your gaming console with an HDMI cable or are you still using the composite cables you were using on your old set?

if u ask me you are sitting too close.

i have a 23" LCD i recently bought.. its 1920x1080 full HD

the thing is .. i sit 2 to 3 feet away. and if i move closer like 1.5 feet i can clearly see pixels.

And Modern Warefare 2 is not a big Texture game..

play something like Metro 2033 and then report if its blur aswell because i am playing metro at 1366x768 and its not blurry coz i got a 23 incher...

ur TV is 32.. which stretches those pixels alot more..

1st advice. check if you running at native res

2nd advice. sit 5 feet away :)

i didnt notice you use a console..

For that ill say the game shouldnt be noticably blurry.. because it is being scaled down right now in terms of resolution which should make it sharper and actually cut the effect of the stretch a bit..

so it should be ok.. not sharp not so blurry

always use Digital Input .. It will give you far better quality.

Composite, how much does an HDMI cable cost?

Composite, how much does an HDMI cable cost?

That is most definitely your problem. Composite sucks.

There's your issue. You can't get HD from your console without the HDMI or Component Video connections (VGA, also, on 360). Get a cheapo HDMI wire and you'll be amazed at the difference.

Monoprice is the way to go when you want cheap, high quality HDMI cables.
