Massiveterra
Oh well, I think I need to just read the news and move on, and not bother reading comments, etc., as that is what really upsets me more than anything else. All I do is play games, and that is all I really want to talk about, the playing part. here and there it is fun to talk about other stuff, but now it seems the other stuff trumps the actual playing part, and that is something my old fart ass just cannot be down with. This is the internet we're talking about i.e. go to any news sites that allow people to post comments and go read the Politics section LOL
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted April 13, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted April 13, 2010 Yeah I know, and I realize I am sounding like a bitter old man, but gaming was for a while, not so much the past few years but for awhile, something that was untouched and still pretty pure so to speak. I guess I just am upset that the one thing I truly enjoy as a hobby has become, or at least is slowly becoming, just like ever other media out there and totally becoming tainted by stupid meaningless information. I just wish it was not this way, but you make an incredibly valid point, drama does indeed sell. Very good point as well. And awesome PA comic. Thanks for sharing. It really is just this whole 'drama" that has rubbed me the wrong way. I tend to visit Kotaku just as much if not more than Neowin, and just going through the comments on there was literally driving me mad reading all these pseudo gaming analyst wannabes talking out their ass not making any sense at all, and I thought to myself "WTF, are these actually gamers or just drama queens?" Oh well, I think I need to just read the news and move on, and not bother reading comments, etc., as that is what really upsets me more than anything else. Larry you should know by now 90% of the gamers who use the internet are drama queens :p

Spookie
Apparently 11 staff have now left Infinity Ward: - Jason & Vince - 2 lead programmers - 1 programmer - 1 lead artist - 1 senior animator - 4 lead designers (oof) Despite all this I bet £50 that franchise will still sell well the next two years (****ty Treyarch clone and either the husk of IW knocking out another shooter or sledgehammer making the MMO) before bombing on the third. edit

Look at how it benefited Valve after their spat with VU (ironically now with Activision).

I bet they are all exchanging high fives and fistbumps now. :p
