Argument over Playstation 3 leads to attempted stabbing

Recommended Posts

A teenager in Spring Hill, Florida was arrested on Monday after an argument with his stepfather over the amount of time spent on his Playstation 3 led to an attempted stabbing.

According to WTSP, 15-year-old Jarrod Scott Blake's arrest affadavit states he was grounded from using his PS3 because of poor grades and poor behavior.

The teen's stepfather told deputies that when he caught the boy playing the console at 6 a.m., he told him to go to bed. Later, he told Blake to mow the lawn, and that is when he says Blake pulled a large knife from his pocket and tried to stab him.

Both suffered minor injuries. Blake has been charged with aggravated assault.

Wait what?

The way I see it the kid was told to do chores and he (and his knife) responded with "**** you, stop telling me to do ****" - nothing about stabbing him because he stopped him using his PS3 or how games can get you so addicted you'll kill people over it (which is what this article does imply).
