Because 2 seconds showing ONE of the many implementations of procedural destruction is forbidden right? It's also quite possible that thousands upon thousands of windows are destructible in a city like New York, which actually IS impressive if true.

And how about some of other technologies they showed like procedural deformation? (badass IMO)

Haters nitpicking all the time

It certainly is if you want to make a good trailer, they managed to create some impressive demos for CryENGINE 2, why not for 3? If you're going to demo something and give it a large degree of attention, please tell me the best method you can think of doing so isn't shooting a couple of largely obscured windows out.

Additionally going by said trailer, the "Procedural Deformation" shown seemed like procedural destruction, just applied to a ground-level prop. Even if there is real "procedural deformation" of world geometry, that's not exactly new either.
