Smashing Pumpkin
Any four-year old would be delighted if their father bought them a videogame, but Littlehampton kid Riley Brown ended up getting more than he bargained for. Upon opening the preowned copy of Fight Night Round 4 from Blockbuster, he discovered a small bag of marijuana that?d presumably been left there by the game?s previous owner. Whilst Blockbuster has yet to comment on the incident, Riley?s Father has explained his panic upon discovering the narcotics to the British press.?He?d only been playing the game ten minutes when he came down with the bag in his hand and asked, ?Daddy, what?s this???, Andy says. ?I checked and realised. I was horrified and took it off him straight away.? ?But what if he?d thought it was sweets, and started munching away? It doesn?t bear thinking about.? You know what else doesn?t bear thinking about? Buying your four year old kid a PEGI 16+ rated game in the first place? but that?s a whole different issue. I wonder if a preowned copy of Super Mario Galaxy comes with a free bag of mushrooms? Source (Dealspwn) Bang on about the dad buying his 4 year old a 16+ rated game, the Sun didn't mention that once in their article... Comment supposedly by the mother on the Sun's article: "ill repeat myself shall i, it wasnt bought for him he was having a quick go...and we havent gone to the papers, my husband told a friend of his that works at the local paper and she asked if she could run the story....the sun read it and came to us....we have recieved no money for the story so not sure what the outrage is to be honest..." So long as it was a quick go!

Smashing Pumpkin
Judging by the look of the marijuana in the Sun's picture I'd rather not!
Sethos
Judging by the look of the marijuana in the Sun's picture I'd rather not! Don't be sensitive now, just smoke everything; the bag, the weed - Hell, stuff the manual in there too and light up a grand pipe bonfire.

tablet_user
The bag contained 18 joints and the father is outraged he found 3 joints in a bag inside the video game.

abecedarian paradoxious
Blockbuster hasn't commented on this because their employees are supposed to be checking the packaging when customers trade in / turn in games and movies, and when they rent / sell them as well. In all likelihood, it was an employee that took the game home without authorization, brought it back and stuffed it on the shelf with the goods in situ. mokthraka
Actually I think this is fake. They don't keep games I the case. You take the case and they put the disk in. Not to mention that doesent really look like weed

Spookie
I like how The Sun cut of the huge "PEGI 16+" logo in the corner.
Smashing Pumpkin
From the Sun: Estate agent Andy, who lives in Littlehampton, West Sussex, with wife Leila, 30, and their daughters Evie, four, and Lauren, 11, said the bag contained a small amount of cannabis and tobacco - and must have been put in by the former owner who traded it to the store. That's a paragraph for them. So I'm guessing it's tobacco with ground up block, like solid, brown, cube, what else do people call it? Soap something? It's crappy stuff anyway that's mixed with tyre rubber n dog turds... I like how The Sun cut of the huge "PEGI 16+" logo in the corner. Nice observation, didn't see that. Nagisan
Actually I think this is fake. They don't keep games I the case. You take the case and they put the disk in. Not to mention that doesent really look like weed Its been a long time since I've been in a blockbuster (last time I was, was when I had my PS2, around when the original XBox came out), but they kept games and DVDs in the case. They had those locking cases that you would have to either break open, or use that special device thing to open it up, so you couldn't steal it either way. So, from my own experience, it is entirely possible that the game was in the case. But they are suppose to open the case upon return before checking it in to make sure the game (or movie or whatever you rent) is still in there. What's a 4 year old doing playing Fight Night Round 4 anyway? Does it matter? IMHO, game ratings do not mean jack crap.....it is up to the childs parents to decide what games are right for their child. Just because you or your children are unable to handle a mature game at a young age, doesn't mean no child can. EDIT: As for reading and what not.....at age 4 a child typically doesn't know how to read well, they may be able to recognize a few words (such as their name) but are unlikely to be able to easily navigate a video games menus until they learn what to select.
