Favorite Website Building/Management Software?

Question

A friend of mine is asked me to build a website for his construction/remodeling company. I am too busy to be able to build and maintain a website right now, but I know there is a large selection of software out there for this kind of thing. Any recommendations? It needs to be directed towards a person who is very new to websites and stuff, but they are a smart group so it doesn't have to be too basic. Your input is much appreciated!

I use Smultron for Mac. Notepad+ is good for web coding. Fireworks for web design (only the design, you don't have to be a professional), and Web Page Maker for Windows, if you want simple and easy WYISWG.

if anything don't use Dreamweaver it is too costly and a waste of time to deal with. Personally from the mac side i use Coda its small, very cheap and a very good app to make websites. and i use either Photoshop CS5 or Fireworks CS5 they are both very efficient for image editiong
