cute and funny...

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10."

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!

A cheerful heart is good medicine. (Prov 17:22a)

Man 1 goes to visit Man 2 at his house. Since no one answers, Man 2 leaves a note saying "Revelation 3:20" meaning for Man 1 to read that section of the bible. If you look it up yourself in the bible, it says "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Man 1 must have read this and sent a note to Man 2 saying "Genesis 3:10." If you look that up yourself in the bible, it says "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

Genesis 3:10 is referring to the Garden of Eden I think

a joke is not funny if it must be explained

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

how does it have to be explained? it's clearly explained as part of the joke.

it's very funny

And the beast shall come forth surrounded by a roiling cloud of vengeance. The house of the unbelievers shall be razed and they shall be scorched to the earth. Their tags shall blink until the end of days.(The Book of Mozilla, 12:10)

And the beast shall be made legion. Its numbers shall be increased a thousand thousand fold. The din of a million keyboards like unto a great storm shall cover the earth, and the followers of Mammon shall tremble. (from The Book of Mozilla, 3:31 -RLE)

I agree with QR, the joke was put across quite well. I suppose it takes an open mind to get some things.

If you close your mind to something just because it has biblical references (even if it doesn't require you to be a believer to comprehend it), you can miss out on some pretty neat things. :)

il'd say that i've got a pretty closed mind, and because im jewish, bibles are meaningless to me, but gosh, some people get confused just because a holy word was mentioned!

I have an open mind. If I hear a jolk and have to go look up the ref in it it's NOT FUNNY. The fact that there are biblical refs in it doesn't matter - I've never missed out on pretty neat things because I didn't read the bible.

This has become boring.

hahahhahahha

I found the joke to be very clever. It made me laugh, cause I understand the joke. All those who don't find the joke funny, probably never read the bible. Not that that is wrong...just you probably wont
