But if I put a cd r and the programs on it are zipped, xp has no problem reading it.. Does anyone else have this problem? KnifeFace
I have 2 computer (1 Win98 & 1 XP) and I been experimenting with the CD-RW. I made a CD-RW from 98 and inserted that one in XP. If there are to many files in a folder, more than 16, it can't read that folder. I have third party software on my XP: Creative Disc Detector Creative PDE Detector. They were pre-installed when I bought my PC. If I shut them down, my DVDdrive and CD-RWdrive can't read a thing!!!!
